![]() ![]() GSuite, gotta migrate shit which dumps it all into the recipients mailbox, or else change password and have that person just logging in as the other person. That persons email shows up in their Outlook within an hour in a separate folder below their own with the whole structure intact. M365 convert to shared mailbox, pull license, grant access rights to designated person, fuckin done. Like I said in another comment, it works for some customers like edu and nonprofits, because they get a steep discount from Google (at least they used to), but enterprise should stay far far away.Īlso have to say, the process for handling when someone leaves is so much better with M365 than Google. There's no good reason they couldn't export to a PST or something, and I shouldn't have to purchase a conversion program to do so. I have tbs of email backups nobody will likely ever look at because they require thunderbird. Why, its almost like it's by design!!!Īlso, exporting the email when the cord is finally going to be cut is so painful. I have clients paying for dozens of mailboxes they wouldn't otherwise need to because of that. Having a decade of email just shit itself into another user's mailbox is not at all workable, so often we just end up having people just logging into those email accounts directly after a PW change, which is a pain in the ass and just stupid as shit. I actually chatted with their support once and they straight up told me that their ethos is that emails are private on a user basis, but I mean, corporate email isn't owned by the employee, it's owned by the employer, so privacy doesn't apply. The shared mailbox thing alone is such a showstopper I don't understand why workspace is even used in enterprise. Here's another post by a Redditor 3 years ago experiencing the same issue, looks like it's not been fixed yet: ![]() The next day I get an email summary from the agent telling me that they've looked into it, and essentially summarizes the exact same *wrong* conclusions.ĭear God, why can't they just forward me to someone competent?.Says that someone will contact me the next day. The 4th agent goes through troubleshooting steps again.Eventually he transfers me to someone else. I ask him about the issue, and he starts troubleshooting again. I try the chat again to see if I can get a live response. At the end he will escalate the issue and someone will get back to me the next day. He decides to first go through the same idiotic and useless troubleshooting steps with me, to no avail. ![]() I explain the situation and tell him that he should transfer me to an email expert. I'm automatically reconnected to a new agent. Then when he gives up after wasting my time he says he'll transfer me to another agent. First support agent misunderstands the problem, makes me go through completely useless steps.Anyway, I contacted support via chat, and here's the experience: They seem to support ARC, but for some reason it's still failing). Now I'm testing the same features on Google Workspace, and they're not working (Gmail's email routing causes redirected emails to fail SPF checks. Every time they were super gracious, got back to me instantly, solved the problem and made sure everything was great. I started with M365 for a month or so and had to contact support about 3 times. You can comfortably work offline in Microsoft Office apps, but Google Workspace apps only work without an internet connection on the Google Chrome browser.I'm currently evaluating M365 and Google Workspace. Linux and ChromeOS users must rely on the Office 365 web or mobile apps to view and edit files. Microsoft has desktop versions of Word (word processing software), PowerPoint, and Excel on Windows and Mac. Google Workspace subscribers must use the web or pin app shortcuts to access Docs, Sheets, and Slides with a single click. In addition, the company's cloud storage service, Google Drive, is available on Windows and Mac. Google Workspace offers cloud-based productivity apps on the desktop and has mobile versions for Android, iPhone, and iPad. If you prefer a top Chromebook to get some work done, the software giant has announced a better Microsoft 365 integration on ChromeOS later this year. Microsoft has Office 365 apps like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive, Teams, and Outlook on the following platforms: Microsoft 365 for Home: Cross-platform availabilityĬross-platform availability is one of the major factors when picking a productivity suite.
